The SIC4310 is an NFC 228 byte dual-port transponder, with UART interface.

The EEPROM memory is accessible via the communication of the NFC reader or via the UART interface, conforming to the NFC Forum Tag Type 2 protocol.

The device can be used in transparent mode for communicating data from NFC devices with the UART interface and vice versa. This mode facilitates wireless communication between devices for multiple fields of application like smart-sensor, interactive-poster or for upgrading equipment firmware.


The SIC4310 can operate by using the energy of the RFID/NFC communication with an analogic front-end designed to use the energy of the RF field, ensuring up to 10mA of current. Designed to run with a single chip, the device thus minimises the external components, integrating an on-chip regulator of 3.3V.
The UART signal can be converted in diverse standards of communication like RS232, RS485, USB, I2C via appropriate devices. The two FIFO buffer banks of 64 bytes for wired transmission/reception towards UART are embedded allowing the microcontroller more time for handling other functions. To facilitate the development of new applications samples and development kits are available for Android, ARM Cortex M0, Arduino and Windows.
