Apple updates the NFC interface to allow tags reading without using a dedicated app
With iOS 11, Apple makes new versions of the X-series iPhone compatible with the NFC world.

Developers will be able to take advantage of Core NFC, a new framework that Apple proposes to read Tag Near Field Communications (NFC) and data in the NDEF format, the abbreviation of NFC Data Exchange Format.

The NFC chip integrated in the iPhone will be able to read any Tag, not just Apple Pay Tags, and run applications aimed at the retail market, brand protection, ticketing and even solutions in the industrial field and in different areas to allow interaction between devices.

One of the main features of NFC technology is its implicit security, due to the short communication distance. The proximity makes the devices makes the probability of interception of the signal very low. A device is able to initiate communication with another NFC device or with a Tag, ie a "passive" element as it is not able to initiate communication, but uses the energy of the signal sent by a device to respond.

Thanks to many years of experience in the development of RFID systems and applications, the FASTHINK offer is based on NFC transponder components, handheld devices and application software in the field of logistics, traceability and brand protection.
