The new real-time localization system "K-RTLS" combines high precision localization in an industrial environment with unique technical features, which allow a wide use of this system in different applications. In production, for example, it allows precise monitoring of the process, thanks to the precision of the information detected by the localization. It is possible to use RTLS systems in complex environments for different applications such as production and logistics monitoring, with the possibility to activate the information digitization process for a fluid and transparent flow of the same. Real-time data on the location and status of objects and components available with the RTLS system provide the basis for networking the parties involved in logistics processes and their value-added chain.
The system consists of one or more mobile transponders and a node connected to the management system.
The system is based on UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) technology with a localization accuracy of up to 10 cm even in difficult and reflecting environments. The robust and compact design of the transponder allows extensive use in real-time object tracking in production and logistics.
The Nodes have a compact housing and can be easily powered by mains or PoE. To keep installation costs down, nodes also have their own optional 2.4 GHz radio network for data transfer. This means that only about 25% of the installed nodes require a cable connection to the network. The distance between individual knots can be up to 80 meters.
